Can I ask for the LC from previous company?

Hi,
I have applied a year ago for my green card.Mean ahile I was laid off from that company.Is there any way for me to get LC from the company's attorney?I am again in work with another company in the same state.I have heard that incase I apply for the green card again,I can get my labour cleared in no time as it has been done already.Is this true?
