California Driver's License and or State ID
If your 245(i) LIFE Act or I-485 is pending and you DO have a valid SSN, can you obtain a driver's license or state id in California?

in California when you file for AOS the first thing they give youis work permit...(if things have not changed since 1997)
if you have one than you can apply for a driving License...

I think Governor Gray Davis will sign it on October 1st or thereabout, enabling
more immigrants to get California Driver's Licenses and car insurance.

Immigrants have always been able to get driver's licenses. Illegal
immigrants, however, have not.
Oh well, this is the beginning of the end... Pretty soon you won't
need a green card or passport anymore, so might as well throw them
away. The USA will soon become a third world country anyway...
Funny, on "The Sopranos" last nite on HBO I remember someone saying:
"Oh, so you're gonna become a citizen?"
"Nah, you don't need that."
