Default Cable TV/Broadband/Home Phone Package

I'm planning on staying 3 months in my house in Orlando, then 3 months in UK then 3 months in Orlando etc.

I need a Cable TV/Broadband/Home Phone Package. Bright House let you suspend your subscription for 3 months during one 12 month period so I would only have to pay 9 months a year. Dish and DirecTV make you pay for a24 months contract so they would prove very expensive when I am not there. Does anyone know of any other providers who wouldn't tie me down to paying the months I'm not there?

Thanks.

If you can get AT&T U-Verse, I think they might allow you to do that.

Just stump for a decent broadband and then use a VOIP service for phone and watch tele online would be your best bet...

Time Warner Cable will do a contract free service. You pay a little more per month for it. Whether you can get TWC I don't know.

And whatever you may think of TWC, It is at least an answer to the question.

Personally I'm with Bob above - all viewing needs met by online options.

Directv let you suspend your account once a year for up to 6 months even if under the contract. It just means that the time it is suspended does not count towards your contract commitment.

I'm with Bob as well. In addition, if you get yourself a decent over the air HD capable digital antenna, there are tons of free and local channels, even in High Def. From these you will get all of your primetime main shows that you will watch on cable anyway.

Regardless of that, I'm surprised Brighthouse will only let you suspend for 3 months of the year - as with Brighthouse, there is no contract. But I guess they have a limit - if you were to keep cancelling/reacativating everytime, you'd have to keep taking your box back/picking it up so I guess that makes sense.
