I buy sometimes from amazon,but mostly dick blick.com,always been very happy with both!
I hadn't done any kind of painting in years,and wasn't sure what medium I wanted to use,so I bought a cheap version of each,watercolour tubes,oil tubes, oil pastels,gauche tubes,acrylic,soft pastels and coloured pencils....ended up enjoying both types of pastels and oil painting!...Hope he enjoys whatever you decide to get!
