Buying a house
Has anyone on here ever bought a house in advance of moving from the UK to the US?
Prices in the part of the US that we are looking at seemed to have bottomed out and it's a buyers maket, but we don't want to move until next year.
I though about buying a place and renting it out until we are ready.
Any problems with that?
Alex.

No problem then if your paying cash.. get yourself a buyers agent to close on the sale in your absence.. and then get a property management company to rent it out..assuming there is a demand for rented property in the area.

We bought a house in NC in December, Love it, got great value for money, only problem is can't get a job at the moment, so it's just a holiday home. No restrictions on renting, and we paid cash, so saved a great deal on fees etc.
