Buying Euros for a holiday
Any suggestions for where I could buy Euros for an upcoming holiday. Most of the banks in Charleston, SC look at me as if i was asking to exchange Dollars for pieces of moon rock.
Any good online sites you could recommend?

Why do you need cash in advance of getting to Europe? Couldn't you use an ATM at the airport, when you arrive in Europe?

+1....or even just use your card in the shops most of the time. The old fashioned change before you go method is very outdated for travel between first world countries, and 99.9% of the time will cost you more. Some credit cards (Capital One is one) even eat the fee that Visa/Mastercard charge on Forex transactions and you get the live exchange rate on the day you use the card. Nowadays though, having a US credit card can sometimes be a pain in the ass in some off the beaten track places as they do not have Chip and Pin.

Around here if you want to order currency you need to go to the main branch downtown. If you want cash on you when you arrive, give them a ring and see if they can help. Your local branches will be less helpful.

I'm from France, but in the States for a few weeks, and just use the ATM when I arrive. Don't bother buying cash in advance.

I have my own ATM when i go home, not for Euros, but for pounds sterling...Euros would work too though.
just look for the "mum" sign...always works and doesnt charge any fees..

Otherwise, Bank of America will deliver to a local branch in 3 days time for $7.50 - which isn't terrible.

I somewhat disagree with the other posters. It's always good to have €100 when you arrive so if the ATM doesn't work for some reason, you still have enough cash to get you through the first day or two.
