I'm no Bush fan, but I think Reuters is stretching here.
Reuters--the Fox News of the left.

a question of semantics - the "boobs" are the ones that crow over it instead of seeing the point ...

Like I said, I'm not a Bush fan.
However...
To pick on the man for poor sentence construction seems a bit over the top. It's kind of like the smear job the left-wing media did on Dan Quayle. It's funny how a Democrat never misspeaks. Golden tongues to a man it seems.
Anyway...
I disagree with Bush on many of his policies, not his sometimes strangled syntax.

He is the F-u-c-king President for gods sake. Why arent you concerned that he cant put a sentence together properly?

What really frightens me is things like this:

George Washington University psychiatrist Dr. Justin Frank in his book Bush on the Couch: Inside the Mind of the President. Dr. Frank diagnosed the President as a “paranoid meglomaniac and “untreated alcoholic whose “lifelong streak of sadism, ranging from childhood pranks (using firecrackers to explode frogs) to insulting journalists, gloating over state executions and pumping his hand gleefully before the bombing of Baghdad showcase Bush’s instabilities.

“I was really very unsettled by him and I started watching everything he did and reading what he wrote and watching him on videotape. I felt he was disturbed, Dr. Frank said. “He fits the profile of a former drinker whose alcoholism has been arrested but not treated.

Dr. Frank’s conclusions have been praised by other prominent psychiatrists, including Dr. James Grotstein, Professor at UCLA Medical Center, and Dr. Irvin Yalom, MD, Professor Emeritus at Stanford University Medical School.

Thats just scary!

Great laugh on GMTV this morning....the guy didn't seem to realise what he'd said even..... does he ever anyway? Great entertainment value though.. it almost makes you wish the joker gets re-elected. He must be one heck of an embarrassment for your country in the eyes of the rest of the world. He should come to the UK as there is currently a move to reintroduce court jesters and there is a competition to find the funniest guy to become unofficial Court Jester. As far as I know Americans are not barred from entry. One problem though.....the post holder would be required to reside in the UK. On second thoughts, Dubya.......

What I find REALLY scary is that upwards of 50 million people are going to vote to re-elect the idiot.

LuTziE Aug 6th 2004 11:09 am

perhaps this is how the Uk should be too.
Politicians in the Uk are so used to having their spin docs script everything they say that there is no room for error anymore.
pity that, i would love to see more mistakes made..... politicians are only human, mistakes happen, if you dont like the mistake, dont vote for them.

Democracy at work!!!!
