12th to 19th August, the BSA owners club is holding it annual rally in Brimfield MA.

Unfortunately not north east Colorado.

Always wanted a Spitfire?, long time ago. 650cc. BSA had a dealer near where I went to school.

There's a place out near Concord NH I think, near where the outlet stores are that sells classic brit cars and bikes....and in maine, Prospect, there's a bloke that restores old British cars and bikes...there lovely, but he ain't cheap *l*

Spitfires last year was 1968 ...replaced by the three-cylinder 750cc A75 Roocket III late in 1968

The Gold star finished in 1963... something I always wanted
but never got ..

Perhaps it was a few year earlier, would not surprise me if they took a few years to clear the last of them.

Certainly not the 3, I knew somebody who had one.

If I was still going near Coventry could pop into the Motorcycle Museum...

I saw a very nice renovated TR6 on the Masspike tuesday.

My best childhood pal's Dad had a Gold star, I remember it well.

I cruised by an mid 80's TR-7 convertible the other day - I never even new they made it across here !

Now we are talking about a triumph TR6 motorcycle
and a TR7 car ...... will we get to the TR8..
they were sold in the US market

Would have liked to have gone to that rally,I used to have a BSA Gold Star but loved the Triumph,s better.Have owned many Triumph,s over the years.I still own this 1969 Triumph Trophy 500 cc twin competition model,all original and very rare over here.Have owned it for the last fifteen years but i dont ride it very often,too dangerous around the Phoenix metro. :scared:

Are you sure is was not the 350cc Ivory .that was the big seller ...pic

Yes I'm sure, my dad had a 500cc Norton, and my brother, 350 BSA.

The man had mothballed the bike and his car when he went into the army, in 1940. After the war, he got the car going and registered the bike as well to get the petrol ration for it. When rationing stopped, he sold it to me. it was a little wierd because they put the big, 3 1/2 Gal. tank on it.
