Hi all,

I lived in Stowe and then Northfield but due to divorce I got pinged back to the UK (long and boring story). Looking at coming back out at the end of the year permanently. Looking at Central Vermont as I have a job lined up in Randolph. Any other Brits living in Vermont?

Also, how’s you guys get a rental apartment without a credit score?

Cash is king. I produced first/last/security plus a few months worth. Smooths it all over

If you have lived in the US in the past seven years you will still have at least some credit history and bear in mind that the typical applicant (modal class) for an apartment has terrible credit. In other words apartment managers wouldn't have many tenants if they excluded people for having "bad credit".

As per PE above, additional months of prepaid rent should smooth over the process.
