As you saw, there are a number of us here. Which side of Cleveland are you moving to? You'll need to read up on why it's best and prepare to argue with people from the other side about it!

I'm originally from Canada, is that close enough?

Duncan's talking about "east side" vs "west side", relative to the Cuyahoga River. For those born and raised here, it's a big deal. For newcomers, it's a tempest in a teapot, but funny to hear the locals argue about it.

I have no idea yet, all depends on the job... I lived downtown for a few months this summer which I enjoyed though But never really heard east side/west side banter.. I shall do some homework lol

I live in the Eastern suburbs. Do you have any idea of where you'll be living?

Okay - I'm not too far from there. Let me know when you find out for sure. We can meet for a drink or cup of coffee (or tea). Sounds like you're very young. I'm an oldie (57 grandmother of two little ones).

Apologies to the OP as this is off-topic, but "east side" vs. "west side" is a big deal in Cincinnati too!!! It's so bizarre.

I didn't know that - I've been to Cincinnati a few times (my daughter when to college not too far from there - she didn't have a car freshman and sophomore year so when I went down to visit we'd go into Cincinnati).
