British shops in LA / Burbank ?
My son is going to school (college) in Burbank LA (we live in GA).
We are going to visit him in Burbank, we were wondering if there's any British shops / pubs or anything in or near Burbank (the pubs for British Food!!).. He called us yesterday and says he misses his "sunday roast" :) If not, I'll cook him one in his small "flat" THX |

Re: British shops in LA / Burbank ?
Santa Monica has the most
Kings Head: 2nd/Santa Monica Britannia:3rd/Santa Monica Tudor House tearoom & import shop:2nd/Santa Monica Continental shop: Wilshire/17th O'Briens: Wilshire/23rd Then there is some in the San Fernando Valley Fox & Hounds: Studio City Pickwicks?? Robin Hood?? King's Head is probably the best location, you can sit outside 2 blocks from the beach have a pint then stroll down the pier or 3rd street promenade to see street performers and shops. PM me if you want as I live a few blocks from many of the places in Santa Monica |

PS If you do stop by the King's Head it is worth strolling around the corner to the Tudor House Tearoom, import shop and bakery.
The imported stuff is a bit pricey but they also have their own on site bakery where they make their own goods such as; Sausage rolls pork pies Cornish pasties Eccles cakes Jam & treacle tarts various meat and curry pies scones gingerbread men bandenburg cake rum balls trifle almond slices and quite a few other things |
Re: British shops in LA / Burbank ?
I wouls second 'the kings head' for british beers and pub food, 'ok' sunday roast.....
the nearest british shop to burbank i know of is 'Brits' in pasadena - which is a pub resturant but i would not reccomend it as the food is awful!! Ant |
