British phone number in US for bills in UK
 

Hello,

I am looking for a SIM card that will allow me to have a British phone number in the US that can receive texts so I can take care of bills (Vodafone internet for my Mum) and banking issues while I am away. Has anyone found a service that is reliable and won’t shut down after a month?

I am currently using WorldSim but it has been nothing but a headache. Thank you for your help and advice!

Have you tried getting a Skype phone number, rather than a SIM? I have one that appears as a London number but rings my phone in the US. Haven't tried SMS, but I believe it works. Worth checking out.

Thanks for your reply. Does Skype allow for text messages from UK companies though? That is my main issue that I need the number to do.
