A bit more about that 7 footie players/17 year old girl.
From Glasgow Daily Record-->
http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/co...name_page.html
A PREMIERSHIP club was in crisis talks yesterday as cops probed a teenage girl's claim she was raped by seven footballers.

At the club believed to be involved, training went ahead as normal.

But the chairman arrived early for talks with the manager and both left the training ground grim-faced One fan said: ``I come down here regularly and I have never seen the chairman come down to the training ground.

``The players lookedconcerned. They would normally stop for a chat and autographs but there was none of that today.''

None of the players or officials of the club would comment as they left their training session.

A spokeswoman for the club said: ``We are not making any statement at all.''
The hotel was Grosvenor House, Park Lane.
The UK press have received warnings from the Attorney General not to name the club or any players, because it could be prejudicial in any future trial.
But I'm sure that at least one of the scummy tabloids will break this.
Another but - the team/players can't be named in the UK, but this doesn't apply to the rest of the world.
-----------

In unrelated news - Newcastle Utd have denied press speculation that Lord Robson of Tyneside has resigned due to the teams performance so far this season.
Because Newcastle are a PLC they have issued a statement to the Stock Exchange denying any resignation.

Hang in there Sir Bobby !

It's would be unbelievable if Newcastle even considered sacking Robson after the job he's done there. The man is a god (and I'm not even a Geordie fan).

So they could name 8 of the likes of us involved, but not the 8 players involved ?

As an aside too, Newcastle were there Friday, could that be the reason that Robson wanted to walk away ?

Hmmmmmmmm let the rumour mill roll !

Just as a casual way of suggesting the link between these stories. Someone suggested that a certain Lee B was meeting a Harry K in a London Hotel last weekend, they with other friends had a drink and a lady caller.

Mr Bobby R has tendered his resignation because of the outcome of this horror night. Newcastle refuse to accept it due to the fact they will not prejudice the police investigation & save their share price.

From what I have heard, the Sun has printed a series of sillouhettes of celebrity footballers including one Australian married to a soap star ( Mr K ? )

Of course this is all ALLEDGEDLY what happened ( I have watched have I got news for you !)

From what I've been reading on the newsgroups all attention is towards the North East, but this is all speculation.

If turns out to be some truth in the rumours then we will see the king stepping down from his throne and a team going into freefall (again) - following Leeds out of the prem ?

Bobby Robson is a fighter, he would stay forever and a day at newcastle & would see them out of the crisis. He has offered to resign because of the off field behavour of ALLEDGEDLY Bowyer, Dyer & 2 others. ( Bets are on who here )

(In keeping with this threads current trend)

Arsenal fired blanks away at Moscow.
(Team staying at Le Meridan Red Square. FYI)

Lets hope Celtic can "perform" at home.

Great result for the Bhoys, second place in there group.
Not too good for the Gunners who sit bottom of theirs.

Seems it is ALLEGEDLY the following 8 Newcastle ? Arsenal players involved in the scandal

Dyer
Jenas
Bowyer
Lua Lua
Ameobi
Bellamy
Cort
Ashley Cole

Also there are strong stories that Bobby Robson HAS offered his resignation, but the board refuse to accept as this would implicate their club. Club shares have fallen by nearly 15% on the day.

I must say I am astonished that Bowyer is possibly involved in this sort of thing..............

Great win for Celtic. Aresenal are not looking too wise at the moment.

I read some things about Newcastle and Robson parting company - I think that would be a tragedy.

Default Collymore ready to return

Collymore ready to return-->
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/3154886.stm
Stan Collymore is waiting for the right offer to seal his return to football.

The former England striker will consider a playing comeback to domestic football two years after announcing his retirement.

Collymore quit the game following a short, unhappy spell at Spanish club Oviedo.

He told the BBC Sport website: "The fact that clubs have shown an interest has whetted my appetite."
(Manc76 is bricking himself at this moment.)

*Whips out crystal ball*

Stan Collymore agrees a deal to become the new player-manager of Stockport County, also a new chairman is appointed and Yuri Gellar is said to be pleased by the appointment because he envisioned it and can feel the vibrations, Reading and Exeter fans piss themselves laughing. In other news a loud howling is heard from Michigan, USA, someone reports that it came from this bloke saying: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.." but nobody can substantiate this.

I loved the comment about him that someone said on radio 5 live. he should have gone to Japan as he knew how to batter Swedes.
