Hyypia scrambles the set-piece away and as Gerrard breaks Aufhauser hauls him down. The ref books him but seems to have forgotten that he's already shown the same man a yellow! Aufhauser stays on!
Is there an amnesty on red cards or summat?

Luckily we've survived and we'll have our new signings available for the rest of the CL games.

to be expected I guess, they are a division above us and all.

Feel more sorry for Shelbourne, they played 165 minutes with Deportivo before crumbling.

Anyone else see this story from the Plymouth-Yeovil Carling Cup game? Yeovil were playing the ball back to the Plymouth keeper after an injury and accidentally scored. The Yeovil manager told his players to let Plymouth equalise, so they stood and watched Stevie Crawford score from the restart.

[QUOTE=Webbie]Sorry for the lack of.... here chaps.
Been busy over at the Airborne Division because of some blokes going on tour in September, plus a CD being reissued, plus the move of the website to a new host and server.
Anyfarts....

(Footie Prediction League - Results from last Saturday:

Hamilton Academicals 0 - Partick Thistle 1
Stockport 0 - Bradford 1
Brum 0 - Chelski 1
Liverpool 2 - Man City 1
Newcastle 0 - Spurs 1
Newton Heath 2 - Norwich 1
The Arse 5 - Boro 3
Hearts 3 - Kilmarnock 0
Dunfirmline 0 - Aberdeen 1
Leyton Orient 0 - Oxford U 0

Stockie being very Jeckle and Hyde. Chelts struggle to beat Brum. Wins, but unconvincing wins for Lidipool and the rags. 5-3 to the Arse ! Was this one on FSN ? What was it like ? Hearts consolidating their third place early and a nice one for Aberdeen.

As to the league positions -

jmbox still flukeing it at the top with 24 points. The Oxford lurker from the hyphen site - adeshell one behind and the unknown Asocceration Footy takes third with 21. (Are you out there AF ? Make yourself known.)

Jambo and Manc fighting for the mid-table obscurity and the Crystal Palace of the league (ie the whipping boys for everybody else) is mattbutt who didn't do his for last Saturday...

This Saturday's (August 28th) fixtures are already there for you to do.
I'll be adding the fixtures for September for those who are gallavanting around the country and like to do them all in a batch.

*Changing subject*
Found a fantaaaaaaaastic thing today:
If you are stuck trying to find a decent avatar that you thinks represents yourself, why not create a cartoon mini-me version.
I've had a crack at it and this is my first attempt at what I think I look like:

Nelkna has seen me in the flesh so can say if this is close or way off the mark.
Have a butchers on my webblog for the link (and more pics of Dave The Cat)[/QUOTE

Naaaaa Webbie ....It's close , but you really ARE the "one on the left "!

Footie ... after that inspiring loss yesterday I can't wait for the new spaniard s to arrive at Anfield .. Just can't face another crap year from them ... On the bright side , SPURS ....Hhooooooo can hardly contain my bubbly little self so far !...

Long way to go yet , hey , might even have a good week on the prediction league and get out of the slump I'm in after two weeks of miserable results .

Juninho signs for Celtic and takes Henrik Larsson's No.7 jersey. Now i'm no Celtic fan but I'd be pretty upset if I were. Surely what Henrik did there was enough to retire this number?

Tomorrow's Sun:]
*Front page: Ministry of Porn - the department of Work and Pensions has been rocked by revelations that 2 million porn pictures, including child abuse, have been downloaded on the government PCs in eight months
*Hewitt, how do ya do it. He is dating a 17-year-old Russian model.
*Halle Berry got fed up waiting for her ex, Eric Benet, to pick up his clothes from her place, so she gave them to a homeless charity
*Lee Hughes failed a drugs test on his first day in prison, having cannabis in his system
*Nicole Kidman is having tests for osteoporosis
*Rooney (who the sports pages say is on the way to Man U) says he will grovel to Coleen in front of 38,000 fans at Everton
*FD has taken up boxing to lose weight. He mentions the fact he is called the Fat Dancer.
*Libertines play Reading - and so is Pete Doherty. La Newton suggests there may be a tense reunion
*Steve Backley to be in the new series of I'm a Celeb, according to the Sun, as is Emma Noble, Paul Gascoigne and Nicky Campbell
*Christian Bale hailed a hero after jumping into a runaway car on the Batman Begins set and pulling the handbrake
*The cop who's selling his house near Derek's has been carpeted by Scotland Yard and replaced in the Flying Squad.
*George and Lynne: Lynne gossips about a teacher friend of hers.

This Saturday's Footie Prediction games are:
Havant_Water v St Albans City
Brentford v Stockport C
Chelsea v Southampton
Aberdeen v Livingston
Man City v Charlton
Norwich v Arsenal
Bolton W v Liverpool
Motherwell v Hearts
Nuneaton B v Barrow AFC
Oxford U v Shrewsbury

Havant are on a winning streak, Stockie like to shoot themselves in the foot, Chelski have been winning, but only by the odd goal, Aberdeen the same, City lost two on a run, The Arse should get a cricket score, Bolton are difficult to beat at home and Lidipool having trouble getting a good run, Hearts are knocking them in but will the 'Well stop that ? Barrow are on a losing streak and Oxford have been firing blanks.

Again sorry for not being around as much. Projects keeping me busy.
Plus the extensive coverage of the beach voll...

I stand corrected. But from what I've read they are going to be one to watch for the title this season.
(Excellent headline for that match by the way:
Hawks taught lesson in taxidermy

The mighty TNS have W1 D2 so far, I'll have to include another game of theirs soon.

Two great websites there by the way.

Come on Jambo be serious Yes Larsson was a fantastic player and frankly I am glad to see the back of him in fact I am sure many other scottish team fans will say the same(purely sellfish reasons). Did Man U retire the no7 after cantona or robson who both were better players than Larsson in their era. I don't know of any team to do this.

I would be upset if I was a Celt because of the basic fact they have signed a has been, I am sure the Burgh fans are glad to see the back of the big headed single minded money grabbing twat!
