Hi Sheepdip,

These crumpets look fantastic-could you post the recipe? I had a go at making some using Gary Rhodes' British Classics recipe, but they weren't that good We forced them down, obviously, because a minging crumpet is better than no crumpet, but they certainly didn't look as appetizing as yours.

It says to use a hot (but not smoking) pan but I found (from trial and error ) that a cooler one gave better results. Takes a little longer to cook but doesn't burn the bottoms.

My sister-in-law just sent a message saying they were sending over a box full of Punjana tea, Tayto crisps, and Cadbury chocolate for Christmas, did we want anything else... I'm overcome by emotion.

I'm starting to panic as I haven't seen any MrKipplings products in world cost plus world market yet this year.
Always used to get a couple of boxed of Christmas cake slices.
