British Airways Private Fare to LHR
 

Mmmmm - On the Flyertalk website there is an announcement for 'BA private fares' in WT + for $678 round trip and $1998 based on round trip in Business Class (outbound from US only) for orginal date of departure for travel between Feb 11 and May 22 (my understanding is that the return date is probably up to a year, the offer is that the last date to fly from the US on these fares is on May 22nd)

Must book by Feb 10th - and must register as a member with Flyertalk before booking if not already a FT member!:

These are great fares in particular for those in the West!

I checked out the prices and actually they are not that great.
I am flying BA from Seattle to LHR on feb 11th and returning Feb 17th and the flights were only $595 Each incl. taxes, and i only booked last week.

Your fares are NOT incl. taxes, although they ARE premium economy. Not bad prices but not amazing. Just an FYI

The cheap price listed is the World Traverller's Plus (not World Traveller aka Economy aka cattle class). Which option are you flying? I'm curious because I have always flown WTP and usually average $1200 round trip from SFO to LHR, so you can see how nearly $700 might appeal to me. We just purchased a round trip, WT fare for my DH at BA and it cost us $529 (all taxes included), and that was with a special deal. He's a bit bitter about seeing this deal... lol I told him that I may have to join him on the plane, but not in his section on the trip back home... lol

I pay around $200 return, and usually go business class.

Just got a direct flight from SFO to LHR 30th March for Easter.
Direct $548 with Continental but the carrier is Virgin Atlantic :thumbsup:

same here, tenure meant my mother got a freebie first class flight last summer....but sister is getting sick of flying and thinking of changing career, so my mother is now suddenly milking as many flights as possible lol
