Default British Airways Price Alert

Just booked 2 return tickets, World Traveler Plus LAX-LHR-LAX for $1800.

This is the cheapest I have paid in a long time, Virgin and Air NZ are both showing $4000 - $5000.

I was saying this in another thread. WTP with BA has some good deals on recently. Shame their premium offering isn't as good as Virgin's though.

I prefer Virgin as well, I found the BA A380 ok, but for $2k cheaper, I will suffer lol

BTW wife just text me, the price on BA is back to $4400.

I have price updates from the skyscanner app, and this was what alerted me!!

So I'm going to thoroughly recommend skyscanner!!

Looks like BA have a price load error on Los Angeles - London for May 12 to August 19. Return flights are $554 including all taxes. Premium Economy is only slightly more. Base rate is around $150.

Grab them while you can.

Virgin and BA usually have very similar pricing, as they compete closely. Where large discrepancies are seen it's usually down to the comparative sales for each flight. I don't think I could handle WTP to/from the west coast, mind.

This seems to be the price at the moment. I just booked round trip on Virgin/Delta in May for $515 incl taxes from the West coast. Premium economy was more than $150 more though.

Virgin aren't carrying those prices through the school summer holidays though, it's over $1.2k for the equivalent flight with them in June-August.

Yes, we are able to take our kid out of school this year. Next year we won't be able to so easily. Gets expensive when buying multiple tickets.

In other news, BA to go 10-abreast down the back on 3-class 777s... Fast becoming a very different airline to the one it was even a year ago.

Looks like we may get even less included in a standard plane ticket

No flight changes are allowed, even by paying a change fee.

They are new basic economy fares coming in next year, to match a similar fare Delta has had for a year or so now. If you don't like the conditions don't buy them, buy standard economy fare as you would now. There problem solved no whining and moaning needed.

BA is becoming more and more like Norwegian, so think hard before paying more for BA if you're thinking you're going to get better food, service etc. The changes in BA seem to be coming every couple of months, and none of them for the better.
