Is the East Coast up early this morning? Or am I in a time warp?

The East Coast is always up this early in this household-slave to the job, you know.
However today is actually vacation day. We leave for FL for a cruise to Western Carib.

Cozumel, Ocho Rios and Grand Caymans. I actually will be attending class while at sea and DH at leisure. Hmmph! However, I do get time off when we're in port(s).

Sounds a bit like when I used to help my mum bake, when I was a young girl. When she had leftover pastry from making a pie, I would make a 'currant turnover' with it. Roll it out, put currants and sugar and a teaspoon of apple juice, and bake it. Yummy! But her fruit pies were delicious - apple pie, gooseberry pie and my very favourite, blackcurrant pie! All served with a dollop of hot custard.

That's exactly what I thought. Sometimes the pastry that mum let us play with was grey by the time it went in the oven...it didn't look much better when it was cooked. We would present our turnovers to dad...poor dad he always ate them.

By Andrew, you mean David. right? 'cos if not, you have a serious problem with some of the other, more northern Celts sunshine.
