For someone who has lived in the UK, albeit on a US army base you have a frighteningly naive grasp of exactly what the IRA did to civillians. The people of Northern Ireland and of mainland Britain were terrorised by the IRA. Does this not give you pause for thought?
If you met a person from, lets say Norway who said in passing that he had met an on the run member of Al Queda...and that this person was a jolly nice bloke, what would your reaction be?
