Boots At Target!!
 

Imagine our surprise pottering round Target this evening to see Welcome to the British Isle - under the old faithful Boots logo!! Sadly all girlie stuff but it pleased my wife - all the number 7 makeup and stuff. Pity there was no mens shampoo and stuff - but the prices didn't seem too bad.

Just checked the website and it shows the stores - a lot in Dallas for some reason

Sweet...my wife loves their stuff. Our nearest one is in Miami but thats only 30 mins or so away.

Ooooooh, exciting!!! I like their Botanics range, the nearest to me is about 25 miles away, will be stopping in when I'm in the area, thanks for the info!!

Somewhat related, Target's housebrand of clothing is named "Cherokee". When I was in Tesco in the UK the other week, I noticed that they were selling clothing under the Cherokee name too. The local and labels were identical to Target.

I guess Target and Tesco have some kind of business relationship.

I am gutted, there are none in NJ and the nearest one is 2 hours drive in NY state. :mad:

Never mind I'll stock up when I go to England next month.

I'm going to phone this number today which is their corporate HQ in Stamford, CT and their enquiries/feedback dedicated number -

- and I'll be asking them to bring their products to New Jersey (there are sooo many British expats living here...).

In the meantime I'll be stocking up on my trip to England later this month. :)

I loved to shop at their stores in Bangkok, Thailand (one was located right next to the night market and bar area in Patpong where the guys would pay a 'bar fine' to have a Thai takeaway for the night... :eek: and I guess that their top selling product there is for condoms....). It was great at Boots there as they had their '3 for 2' offers exactly as they have in the UK....I wonder if they're doing this in the US?

There is one on the NY/NJ state line right alongside the NYS Thurway. A very large one btw. It is on the northbound side just north of the Palisades Mall.

Yup they are. We used to get cherokee clothes from Tesco in Blighty as they fitted me perfectly. Its great that target also sell them, and I emailed Tesco's and sure enough they are the same items. Sweet.

I used to leave a large part of my income in Boots in the UK - have missed them !

Yes, love all those Target stores around the Bay Area, just hope they sell the Boots products. Mother will be pleased that she won't have to spend a fortune mailing my favourite things! :D

The Boots website gives a list of all the stores in the US which carry their products. There's one in Redwood City, one In Cupertino and loads in San Jose!

Every Target in the "Metroplex" (DFW) area is listed, but none outside there.

Dimsie, you may well be closer to them than I am .... how far to the northern outskirts of DFW? I'm 200 miles south.

Dallas is a major airport hub, is all I'm guessing. Austin would be a very receptive market as we like international products and have loads of disposable income thanks to the student population.

I did notice on Target's website that they have a couple of Boots items available on line. Not much but its a start. What I would give to browse a No7 counter for a few hours....
