Its all organised through the SF expats meet up group. I had met four of them before at another event, but the others I had never met, we even met a couple who arrived the day before us, so we did lots of number swapping and hope to all get together more often

That's so great! I think the LA group needs to take a lesson and do it as well. I'm not even sure how to go about trying to start that though. Well, there's a year to figure it out. Glad you all had a great night. What a fun way to get to meet new people!

Was up in Maine and it was shit out, so didn't do anything.

There's a stately home in RI that does fire works and a big shindig, family are Brits.

The Old State House pub in Boston was doing a quiz night, Brits v Americans, had to answer questions on the other nations history.

I normally set off sparklers though.
