Default Bombay consulate "administrative processing"

Dear readers:

After receiving each and every item that the bombay consulate listed on the 221(g) letter, my wife was asked to come back after two days.

When she went back after two days on August 26, 2002, she was given another 221(g) letter that says that her case is under "administrative processing and we'll contact you."

What does "administrative processing" mean and how long does it take for the consulate to re-interview my wife or call her and give her the visa? We've filed as spouse of US citizen--IR1.

I'm beginning to fall sick becuase of this nonsense and ill-treatment from Bombay consulate. Please help. THank you.

MD
