I got "approved" in October 2005, but due to quota numbers and retrogression, I'm still waiting for the actual green card. All the background checks, biometrics etc have been done, but I just have to wait my turn and geography makes no difference

Didn't you say on another post that you disliked Florida because it was full of hispanics and it was like Mexico. Have you been to San Antonio? I'm the only white guy within a square mile at the moment. I love it here but I'm not so sure that you will.

What are you talking about? I havent even filed yet. Look at shusterman.com at the district waiting times. San Antonio, Rochester, Syracuse, all processing applications for I485 filed in May.

You haven't filed, yet you've been in Florida since 1992? Or am I missing something?

lot depends on method to AOS whether through marriage or work...and those are only guidelines at best...it's good to look at those and also the times posted on www.uscis.gov and then flick a coin to see which one will be most off the margin...

one of the biggest hold up's tend to be the background checks as well, so depends on how common your name is and if you've had any criminal activities you've reported.
