Default Blood pressure follow up

I need to lose 20 pounds and get a little more active. :scared: I guess I'll be grilling veggie burgers on the new BBQ. Other than that, everything is fine. No medicine was perscribed.

Well done. Don't suppose you'll have much time to spend on here now as you'll be at the gym.

F**k veggie burgers.
In general most peoples lives are a lot less active in the US principally due to the lack of walking.
Join a gym or buy a bike or something and eat all the burgers you want (though I can't comment on what this will do for your cholesterol )

Good luck

Was your BP particularly high? Eliminating tea, coffee, caffeine, alcohol, added salt and all processed foods will bring your BP down faster than you know it....like in days/weeks.....boring I know, but it works.

150/100. I drink one cup of tea in the morning and one cup of coffee when I get to work. I haven't added salt on a meal in probably 10 years and I rarely drink. My downfall is too many trips to Jack in the Box and Taco Bell and being an all around lazy arse.

Infact, As I'm getting fat and I've just moved to Tempe, I might be infringing on "Fatbrits" copyright.

I've come to really like veggie burgers, especially the 'Boca' brand. Commercial meat here is packed full of utter shite anyway all hormones and cow antibiotics. I don't like eating anything thats been ground up fine and then squished into patties, all eyelids and tails - bleurgh!
If you stop drinking soda and burgers you'll be well on your way - 20lbs isn't much and well achieveable by the summer

Agreed,

Get off your backside and do a bit of walking. Then, rest for a bit and you will see your BP come down.

I am embaking on a 6 week period of not drinking alcohol, eating healthy and walking, which in my job is asking a lot

Jim.

I'm not a veggie but I certainly won't eat any mince or reconstructed and shaped muck. Surprising how many chains dish up this stuff, all the same perfect shape and size.
