Um... Not being funny, but yes. You're right, they have no idea, which is why the city is closing down. Perhaps if they did get weather like this on a yearly basis their infrastructure might be better equipped to deal with it.

Ive been on vacation in New York all week - can safely say I have NEVER seen snow like it!!!!!!! It excited me until I got cold, but it didnt stop us being complete tourists!!!!

Then we find out that we may be about to get stranded their hecause the snow is in bloody Atlanta and the air lines were cancelling all flights out!!! Luckily we made ours but there were people at the airport who have missed or had cancelled flights that there are no stand bys to ATL until Weds!!!!!

We have a good few inches here in ATL now but I think its finally stopped!! And the damn DirecTV is not working surprise suprise!!

OMG Vancouver eat your heart out!! We have 4 to 5 inches here in SC. It looks like Switzerland. Everyone is so excited, and the snowballs are flying. The big downer - it started snowing last night at about 7 pm. Two minutes into the opening ceremony of the Olympics had started at 9 pm EST, you guessed it, the power went out. Missed all of it.

It's wet heavy snow. All the trees look like that on an Xmas card. First snow here in 8 years. Last time I saw snow was about 4 years ago in Palm Springs, CA, at Thanksgiving.

It will be 40+ deg today though.

I kept running to the front door last night (well figuratively, not literally) and poking my head out, but nothing here. However, they did get some in Savannah, and it quite a bit more a bit north and west. People were excited, kids were trying to make snow angels and go sledding.

This photo shows one of my previous coaches buried........as the result of overnight snowfall in Hurley, Wisconsin.

Now that is what you call snowfall! Especially, when you look out of your Ground Floor hotel window and see snow piled up against the glass.

Here in Baltimore it melts slightly then turns into superhard ice and they are predicting 6+ more inches from Sunday night to Monday morning...

Here's something to cheer you people up, I up here in central NH have not had to pay to have my driveway plowed for about four weeks.

Thanks Mother Nature.
