Re: Beware...Kettles

Took me ages to find one after being offered all manner of electric saucepans!!! but finally bought a Bodrum kettle which is very nice looking and was very expensive, I nearly didnt buy it. I've had it three years and it gets tonnes of use..I work from home and make more coffee for myself that our local starbucks does all day. I've had my kettle 3 years now I would thoroughly recommend it. They come in black and white (although I only saw the white one recently when I was in Crate & Barrel)

Somebody bought me one of those cheap plastic kettles from Walmart. It makes everything taste like plastic! Avoid Wally world!

Would you like me to pick you up some nice tea towels when I'm back home next (which should be May time)? What sort do you like?

She's seen me use it many times :) She just didn't have a clue apparently. She burnt a yorkshire pudding tea towel... I think it was a promotional thing that my Mum got one time and sent to me, so I'm miffed about that one... and the other one was a lolour that matched my kitchen... thanks for the offer of getting me some new one's, we'll talk about it at our next meeting :)

The kettle isn't actually plastic, it's stainless steel and it's very nice looking... all the rage at home my friends tell me... the plastic that burnt was from the bottome that covered the heating elements. Smelt bloody horrid too...my kids were gagging when they walked in the house.

Partystar.. you can come for a cuppa any time. I had a spare one on hand and after cleaning the mess up, got it out the box and made a cuppa, a very worthwhile one :)

We need a cuppa smile for here
