Honestly its interesting to learn how others view America after having lived here.A South American friend of mine once told me that he gain a whole new appreciation for his country after viewing it through the eyes of new citizens.I believe alot of people who are recent arrivals have a greater appreciation for America than some Americans who have long history here.

I wouldn't say greater appreciation as that comes across as arrogant. I'd say some have probably grown to dislike America even more. It can go either way. I for one have always had a great love for my country. I think that reading the viewpoints on this forum have been quite refreshing. Some others have been eye opening. Then there are those that aren't informed. Either way it has been quite instructive and at time an enjoyable exercise of the mind.
