I was pretty damned upset by Tailor of Panama too, but only because I'd wasted $3.50 renting such a huge, steaming pile of rancid dingo crap. Possibly the worst movie I've ever bothered to watch to the end of, and years later I retain no memory whatsoever of the movie except for its utter shiteness.

I just remembered another scene that had me peeing my lace trimmed panties and that is where the wife just said the f bomb constantly for about 3 minutes while the assasin is in her front room then wonders if he will show her his gun.

I agree that this was a good movie but the Academy has ruled that the scene where he is walking through the hotel lobby to the pool means it can't win the award - to close to being a gay cowboy.
