I intend to write to the big wigs at BBC America, and ask them if they will look into possibly showing that other top comedian from the British Isles.... what's his name ??? Aurthur Askey I think ???
I used to watch him all the time...........loved him, haven't really caught him this time around. DO love The Smoking Room too, if you get a chance to see that.

Now wouldn't it be nice if they just ran BBC1 on time delay.

That's all I'm asking for. The other channels would be very welcome too, but let's not be greedy.

Surely this would be more cost-effective than re-packaging all that cr4p they show on BBCA?

Oh, I guess I'm being simplistic - but that's me

When they stopped showing Eastenders they made it very clear that they did not believe the ex-pat/Anglophile audience in the US was big enough to pull in market share, which affects what an advertiser will pay and therefore the bottom line. Therefore their broadcasting is based on what the "broader US market" supposedly wants to watch.

They could always try to market one of the existing channels as a premium channel as is done with the movie and sports channels. I'd gladly pay the full television licence fee per year just to have *one* channel.

If there are any Americans watching: please tell me this isn't what you guys REALLY want to watch?! Over the past 4 years, my faith in your great country has been shaken in too many ways to mention - BUT SURELY THERE ARE LIMITS???!

seperate company with the rights to broadcast the shows in the US...and doing a delayed broadcast has other problems because they probably only have the rights to show stuff only in the UK because of the music used in the shows, or broadcasting contracts for sporting events etc....
