Thumbs up Beans on Toast on BMI flights....

Wow! I wish British Midland flew from our local international airport...

They serve British 'comfort food' on this particular route from Manchester to Las Vegas....mmm kedgeree for breakfast, beans on toast, horlicks, afternoon tea. I'm getting hungry!

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showt...ferrerid=24296

(The guy wrote an extensive report but the food part is halfway down the page. It looks like a v. good airline indeed....certainly better than anything the US airlines tend to offer.....).

My big brother works for them and he tells me they are expanding their routes over here. Never flown them myself but he's worked for three airlines so is a bit of an airline snob and prefers them to Virgin.

Aren't long distance flights bad enough, without having to suffer the various emmisions problems inside the cabin created by 500 people after scoffing beans on toast?

BMI must stand for Bowel Movement Intolerable, they could rename it Blazing Saddles Air?

I've done BMI, and can say without a shadow of doubt, it makes United / American / Northwest to look like a right shower.

Manc, how do you feel they compare to BA or Virgin?

I have never flown Virgin, so couldn't comment.

But I did BA 2 years ago from Chicago to London and wasn't impressed to tell you the truth.

not bad, but nothing special,

Virgin really good, awesome food, but I only went the other side of the world with them...BA....very good service, just depressing having to be in scum class and go through the luxury of first class...not bad seats and food, just not as much leg room in all seats like the kack ones right at the back by the bogs...

Virgin are great. Love flying with them. Better than BA, although they aren't bad either. Just flew a couple weeks back with American -- never liked them.

BMI to Vegas sounds like a bad idea -- beans and lots of guys drinking lots of beer and gearing up to drop some cash and live it up in Vegas. Alright, I suppose, if you are one of them, but if not don't think I'd fancy it. (And pity the poor flight attendant who has to keep the bathrooms clean.)

I have flown a lot with BMI over the last year and find them superb. Way ahead of BA (whose executive club is a joke and planes from Manchester are from the stone age) Would recommend them to anyone.
