Dug up old thread as it seems the I-Player was opened up for the iPhone/iPod platform, but then it was hacked, the BBC tried to fix that hack, but it then got rehacked...see this and this in The Register.
So, before long, the inevitable will happen and the BBC will have to drop DRM. At that point, how long will it be before the expat's license becomes available
