See if you can get a "title loan" on your Jeep (assuming it is less than six years old) - the smallest loan the lender will do (Google <title loans> in your area), over say 12 months and that should "get you started". Be sure to check that the lender reports the loan and payments before signing for the loan.

It sounds like your credit union is run by clowns. The whole point of a secured credit card is for people with $4!tty/ no credit!

I'd be looking for somewhere else to bank as they're obviously not helping you with your financial needs.

Thanks for speedy response, afraid jeep is 1998, so thats another avenue scuppered, although the title is in my name. Will look at option of getting my name added to wifes CC, see if i can get started that way??
