BANK ACCOUNTS

Re: BANK ACCOUNTS
Also consider Bank Direct, another internet bank with a good reputation (and they refund ATM fees too). They also pay 'interest' in American Airlines miles instead of money (basically), which makes them an attractive alternative in times when rates are generally shite. Their sign-up bonuses for new customers are good too.

Re: BANK ACCOUNTS
I've used Ally for a few years, but only for savings accounts (their rates were much better than everyone else's). Being an internet only bank their overheads are much lower so they can afford to be a bit more generous. I found their website easy to use and their phone service very helpful and professional, which is a huge compliment to pay a bank in the US.
