The more you eat, the more you Fart
The more you fart, the better you feel

Ew! How can you say that! They're like the beans with a lump of pig fat in the top of the can aren't they? Added pig fat for added flavour?

You've been in USA far too long now Angel! What would your Aunty Myfanwy think? Get back to Merthyr Tydfil and 50 lashes with a wet Daffodil and being forced to watch Pobol Y Cwm whilst singing "Bread of Heaven" over and over until you love Heinz beans again!

most beans do have a lump of pig in them, traditional over here...though can get veg beans without the pig meat/fat...which makes the maple version worse I think...just to wet...

Not found any Heinz beans here in Hawaii yet the bases don't have them and not much chance in the local stores either. I like them best on toast with a fried egg on top .....

True maple syrup is delicious. Nothing quite like it on pancakes.

Aww cmon there's no recipe known to man that can't be made more palatable to the American palate by the addition of copious amounts of butter and sugar!

Baked beans in New England are a tradition. Personally i can't stand 'em but my mom used to make them from scratch (yes with a slice of salt pork on top). We had 'em every Saturday night. Best served with Boston brown bread so they say.

decent maple syrup doesn't have added sugar though...so it must be the healthy excuse *lol*
