Default Bad credit back home.

Question.

If a person has an outstanding debt back home and moves to the US, can or does it happen that the creditor can sell the debt to a US company to collect the funds ? Inturn messing up your credit score.

My credit score is awful in UK, but over 700 here. I have seen no link between the 2!. They just arent set up here for overseas credit checks..!

reminds me of the early days of ecommerce on the web, trying to fit in a uk postcode into the space for 5 characters of being forced to select which state you lived in.

don't know if you noticed, but in the articles section, select US, and there's a pretty good article explaining the whole thing, might not answer all your questioins, but it's a good bit of info all the same
