Bad credit back home.
Question.
If a person has an outstanding debt back home and moves to the US, can or does it happen that the creditor can sell the debt to a US company to collect the funds ? Inturn messing up your credit score.

My good credit score back did not mean diddly squat when I applied for a credit card here but there are a number of people on this site who will be able to help you.

don't know if you noticed, but in the articles section, select US, and there's a pretty good article explaining the whole thing, might not answer all your questioins, but it's a good bit of info all the same
