Default BA/Virgin Fuel Refunds

Hello All,

I did a number of searches on this and couldn't find anything, just a quick question - has anyone successfully submitted a claim for the fuel refund?

I am not sure if you would have already received the refund as its probably going to take some time, but following a link from BA yesterday I was sent to this website:

http://www.britishairways.com/travel...t=fuel+refunds

Here it states you can sumbit a claim by putting in your passport # and they can identify if you are entitled to the refund.

Anyone tried it??? I figure if I am owed it and its a simple as submitting my passport # and waiting for the $'s to hit the bank then why not??

Just wondered if anyone has been successful yet ?

Thanks

I received an email about this, but was concerned that it might be a phishing attempt, so I didn't respond.

You're probably a whole $7 poorer then

I gave them my passport number, SSN, bank account details, mother's maiden name and a scan of my right thumb print.

After all, it's free money we're talking about here, and who doesn't want free money?

Agreed! We worked out that we could be in for 200 or 300 bux as we did a lot of flying between DFW and LGW in the period.

I just received a letter today about this. Does that fact that I got a letter about it mean that I am most likely eligible, or are they sending letters and claim forms to everyone and anyone?

Ok, so I am reviving an old thread - sorry, but just thought some might be interested - or not

So I went ahead and filled in the form and sent it off - giving just our passport #'s and then forgot all about it - This week we get a check for $106.00 each - Not to be sniffed at I think!

Incase anyone was wondering if this was real - it is!

Got an e-mail saying that the refunds would be going out June/July and were sorry for the delay, but that's here in the UK, just for info...

"This is an independent process set up by the claims administrator and you have until 31 December 2012 to make your claim."

Hmm, still plenty of time to try. And encouraging to see it's working for some... think I'll give it a go
