If anything else car seats and the like cost a damn sight more in the UK than they do here.

It well out ranks all the US car seats tested in the Consumer reports earlier this year (regardless of the speed tested) and as safety is paramount for my child, it's a cost I'm willing to bear

Innocent question here - I'm just curious!
In the Australia forums car seats are mentioned regularly, as UK ones are not legal in Australia, even though it seems they are built to a higher safety standard! IS it not the same in the US then? Can you legally use UK seats in the USA?

So why don't you pay to have it shipped over here instead of asking a stranger to bring it into the US for you?

indeed....amazon would sell them without much issue....but the issue might well come into using one, certainly in a plane as many UK one's won't be certified, thus allowed to use in the US...
