B1 in lieu of H1B

Hi,

do you know any pitfalls of using the "B1 in lieu of H1B" ?

i.e. can you be refused entry? Has it happened to any of you?

Help really appreciated!

Re: B1 in lieu of H1B

We came in on a B1 working for a UK company while training and then were able to adjust status to H1B after a job offer and were legally entitled to stay up to 180 days while the change of status was going through. While you are on B1 you should maintain contacts and salary payments in the UK.
