ashes cricket

Looking forward to the Ashes this winter. Does anyone know if there is any possible way to watch TV coverage from inside the USA?

I am hoping I can tune into the bbc radio player but there is no guarantee of that either...

The odd game might be found over here and some pubs had it on ppv....but there's plenty of p2p streaming websites that'll have it at various levels of quality.

Some rummaging around on the google suggests "Willow TV" has the US rights (streaming).

I've never heard of them.

I have used them in the past. They usually have the sky sports coverage. Quality was pretty decent and only $15 a month I think.

I think Test Match Special will be blocked, I am planning to use "TuneIn Radio" on my iPod to catch some quality commentary, seems to work really well.

Good luck, it should be a great series. We are lucky in Canada that our cable tv company have the Cricket Plus channel which will have live coverage. For $15.99 of course.

Does anyone know if any British bars in manhattan will be showing some of the matches?

It doesn't feel right reading BBC website updates instead of watching in a pub!

Channel 2024 on Directv is showing it.

I don't know how much it costs - I presume it isn't free. You never know though...

Don't forget the BBC News website with its live text commentary. Sometimes it is utterly hilarious to read.

I'm in Vancouver and thinking of biting the bullet and paying for this! Is there a minimum length of time you have to commit to it or anything? Very little information about the service online and only really want it while the Ashes are on. :(

I bit the bullet and went for willow tv. Its very good quality. I have it hooked to 52" plasma via hdmi and it looks brilliant. Would definately recommend it! Also allows me to watch Windies!!

To anyone planning on doing the same, don't ... it's blocked in Oz even through this app :(

I don't give a toss to the result (well I want Poms to win. 2-1 would be good) but so as as the rude basta*ds Michael Clarke and Ricky Ponting don't score too many runs.

It was a poor show day 1 by England, fair enough they capitulated against Siddle.
