Arranging a Particular Blood Test Immediately
 

Unfortunately my brother in England has been diagnosed with leukemia :(

I need to get a particular blood test performed immediately in order to send the results to the NHS hospital that is treating him. Hopefully I will be a match for a bone marrow transplant.

I have Kaiser as my insurance provider. I've contacted them countless times, left messages at the doctor's office, emails through the portal... no response, nothing. I just need to get the test done and I don't care if I have to pay or go through a different provider. Is there anyone with a medical background here who can advise the quickest route to getting an HLA class 1 & 2 test done immediately?

Don't know if this company can do the specialised test you need, but they fitted me in swiftly when I had to have a specific blood test...... and they have labs everywhere.

You may have to see your physician and get an order as this test will require a specialized lab and be considered a "send out" Take any info from the NHS to your appointment.
