We filed for Advance Parole for the second time and, against all odds, Arlington actually got the thing to us in 15 days! They received it on July 5 and we got it in the mail on July 20. This is phenomenal, especially for them. On the opposite end of the spectrum our EAD renewal was received by INS on February 28 and we still have not received it. It has been almost 150 days. After mailing a letter to them a month ago and hearing nothing we have decided to take the advice on their website and have written a letter to Customer Feedback at Arlington and also to the Director of Internal Auditing in DC. Hopefully this will get to Warren A. Lewis or one of his staff to send us the EAD ASAP. How can an office possibly take less than 15 days to complete an AP yet still have not sent out the EAD in over 150 days?
The most rediculous information Arlington gave us when we visited on Saturday was that there was no way they could give an appointment then and there but that we'd have to go Monday morning to get an appointment to go in Wednesday morning to get the EAD, and this is 8 weeks after the 90 day timeframe they gave us. I've never know a more dispicable, disgraceful organization on the face of this earth.
Anyway, the AP was the important thing as we'll be going to Vancouver next month! So anyone filing for AP at Arlington, I guess you might be in for a pleasant surprise. As for those filing for EAD, well, just cross your fingers.
