thanks alot gavin :) Depends on the kind of place you like. Big cities or smaller towns? However before you move here, you really need to check out insurance costs for your home. Homeowners Insurance is a big subject here right now. A lot of people are leaving Florida because they can no longer afford homeowners insurance. At the moment we are discussing whether we can afford to stay here. The Governor of Florida is trying to control the costs of Insurance for housing, Whether he will ultimately succeed in the long run is a questionable. Tampa Bay is a fairly nice area to live in. Depending on the size of city you are comfortable in, a variety of places exist. St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Tampa itself (crime is fairly high in Tampa). Smaller places around here are Safety Harbor, Holiday, Tarpon Springs (mainly Greek), New Port Richey, and other places. Take a look at the map of Florida, and do some Googling to find out living conditions etc for yourself. |
