Approved Self Petition Vawa I-360
HI ALL,
I HAVE AN APPROVED I-360 FROM THE VERMONT CENTER, NOW IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR THAT I APPLIED FOR AOS AT THE LOCAL INS OFFICE HERE IN NYC AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED NOTHING, COULD SOMEONE LET ME KNOW HOW THIS TYPE OF CASES ARE HANDELED AFTER THE PETITION IS APPROVED? I HAVE ALSO READ RECENTLY THAT THE LOCAL INS DISTRICTS COULD WAIVE AN AOS INTERVIEW, WOULD THIS BE THE CASE?
IF SOMEONE HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE OR KNOWLODGE PLZ LET ME KNOW
PS:I WAS BATTERED BY A US CITIZEN AND I AM A MAN

An interview will be scheduled, and you will be notified a few weeks

between filing I-485 and interview is 486-547 days at the INS New York
district office.

The fact that you have an approved I-360 is a good sign. INS goes over
these cases fairly carefully.

The reason i used capitals is because i was i at work and had to use capital caracters, but thanks again.

I am a new member. I am in Chicago. Did you get your green card now?
I have the same situation like you. My VAWA case got approved in the end of 2004. In Jan. 2005, I had the fingerprint. Before VAWA, I filed I-485 in Oct. 2003. I am wondering what is the process after your VAWA case approved to getting the GC. How long did you wait for the GC? During waiting, what did you do for your GC?
