Hi folks,
We've just got married (my fiance is on a K1-visa) and we're starting the AOS. So my question is:
Do we have to go both (in person) to file for Adjustment of Status or is it possible only the alien spouse to go by himself to the local INS?
Thanx in advance.

You don't need to hold your alien's hand - they'll be fine on their own.
One caveat: The I-864 form can technically be signed in front of an INS official
(although at least one office - Arlington - doesn't allow this) or it can be
notarized. Since you won't be there it will have to be notarized.
One further caveat: If it's Detroit or Dallas you should be there because they'll do
the interview there and then.
Andy.
