AOS interview preparation. Has anyone been asked for MORE?
I have seen many long lists of stuff people took to the AOS interview.
We'll do our best but we do not have: 1) A joint bank account 2) Wedding photos 3) A joint lease mortgage 4) A joint charge account We do have: 1) A joint baby 2) Joint baby photos 3) Evidence of Me - a Stay at home mom - being supported by Him Has anyone (with a bona fide marriage) been asked for MORE evidence? I'm just not feeling as urgent about everything and reluctant to rush around obtaining evidence in delicious detail. Shannon |

What about tax returns? Joint? Letter from your husband employer showing marital status claimed, beneficiary of company offered insurance/health plans, 401(k), etc. You don't have to be anal but you do have to be prepared for all eventualities. The baby is going to be a big help ... but get all the other mundane items, i.e. marriage certificate, passports, driver's licenses, prior divorce decrees, I-797 Notice of Approvals if K-1, together and make a copy of each item. Will make your life easier at the interview and for when you have to file for removal of conditions in two years.

Oh, yep. Tax returns would be good (except DH hasn't done this year's yet). but he will. Hrmm. I will add that to our "able to provide" list.
I was planning on bringing all the stuff we have already assembled for the I-485 and I-130 applications (incl marriage certs, divorce, etc etc). And have asked for a letter from employer. Thanks |
