Got the letter today from the Dalas INS office approving our AOS on K-1/2 to conditional LPR's.

This only took them five weeks to do what is normally done on a 'walk-in/same-day' basis there! All because they were missing the file of papers that I handed in at the POE. Our guess is that someone at D/FW airport sat on the files we handed in on arrival - seven weeks ago.

It took the intervention of our Senators office to clear the 'blockage in the pipes'. Once they were involved and given all the facts, the otherwise missing file just appeared out of thin air... just like magic... amazing :)

Now for another overnight session waiting in line outside the N.Stemmons office for the I-551 stamp.

Brian.

That's amazing Brian! I can remember you getting your interview at the London Embassy, it all seems so incredibly fast, especially since they quote 270 days or so on the web for Dallas AOS :)

Fantastic news for you and your family! Have a super Christmas!

One thing I have learnt about the INS is that whatever they say about how long it is likely to take is going to be wrong.

Yes, that interview in London seems like a lifetime ago... and I guess it was too!

At least I can now plan for things knowing that I have this sorted out ;)

Have a great Xmas.

Brian.
