Um yes theres quite a lot I like about it actually (most are material things though):
- I own a big ass truck
- I own a big ass RV
- I own a house twice the size of what we had in the UK in grounds 4 times the size for half the cost. (Of course this does mean I have to use a lawn tractor but small sacrifices eh)
- I have 250+ days of sunshine per year.
- I live an hour from barbados.
- I live get to explore the USA....if only I had several lifetimes to see it all.
- I get to experience life in another vastly different culture to our own.
- I've met a lot of people I wouldnt have met if Id stayed in the UK.
- I've got more money and less stress now. (granted the stress was high at the start but now we know how to work the systems here instead of fighting them its a whooole lot easier)
- Our daughter gets to do a lot of things she'd never do in the UK.
Out of interest how long have you been here?

Nearly 4 l-o-n-g years...almost a life sentence..lol sorry to be so negative. I have travelled the world and England was and is home. Every time I landed at Heathrow I was so pleased and fortunate I was born a Brit and proud to be a Brit... the world loves us. My husband (Texan, bless he can't help that) really feels the animosity when we have travelled....the poor Americans are not popular worldwide but that's not my prob I'm just saying I'm proud to be a Brit and even more so to be a scouser.

You just got to make the best of it here and see that there are positives. The worst thing you can do is compare it to the UK as they are so different. Ultimately though we all have a place we prefer to call home and just consider that one day you'll be back there. Then you can enjoy your time here for what it is...simply an (very) extended vacation in another country to lap up the sights and experiences and take them back home with you when you go.

Sorry to be so negative but i also find it very difficult to find any positives here. It's more of a "something missing from life" here experience than anything else i've found.
Enjoy the Mexican food here though

I find there's something MAJOR missing here too... It's all just a little too boring!
