Default Anyone renting a house in Orange County?

Decided to rent out our house here in the High Desert and move down next year.

Early days but just trying to get a feel for the (detached) house rental market in the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo area.

Observations/comments appreciated.

Hi Hotscot,

Sally is correct, I am a Realtor in Orange County. I would be happy to set up a search for rental properties for you. I will PM you for details.

We are renting a 4 bed + bonus + pool in Mission Viejo. We are keeping a firm eye on the rentals as well as the houses to buy. Rental prices for larger houses seem to be going up and up. Smaller houses i.e. 3 beds sell like hot cakes. A work colleague sold his in 2 days to a foreign investor, and they are going to rent it out.

We used a realtor that's a Brit and a very nice chap indeed. If you need more info PM me.

Thanks Marc...it's early days yet, still a year away. I'm trying to decide if it's worth the premium to go to O.C. or up the coast to Ventura, Morro Bay etc..
I'll see how things go throughout the year.
