Anyone recently filed I751 through VT?

How long did it take?

Website says 6 months, but I am still trying to remain optimistic! :)

Optimistic about what?

They take however long they take, it doesn't really matter. You will always have evidence of being a PR and your status will be extended until it is approved (or denied, in very rare cases).

The I-751 is one of the lowest priority applications since your status as a PR does not change one iota while it is being adjudicated.

I filed in September, Had my biometrics at the start of November, and I've heard nothing since.

Like Mo and Ian said, no worries yet..... When my extension letter is nearly expired I'll probably make an infopass appointment...

Being optimistic that it will get processed sooner rather than later so I can book a bloomin holiday and not worry that Ill be stuck in Mexico or something when I get called for interview!!

And yes I know not everyone gets called for interview, but I'd rather not risk it...

Surely I cannot book a vacation, trip home for my best friend's wedding, trip home for Christmas...until I know if I am getting an interview or not, right? wah wahhhhhhh.

It's not that "not everyone gets called for interview" it's that almost no one is ever called for an interview unless they've filed a waiver. Get on with your life for heaven's sake... don't be a slave to immigration - especially now when you are already a PR and continue to be a PR.

Oh I have to agree with Ian on that one. I have only seen (I'm going to qualify this with a maybe) one (?) so called "quality control" case pulled for interview, and that's between here and VJ, over all these years.
The probablity of interview is so low that I would not alter my life to allow for it, especially if it is chafing you.

I know, I'm just a worry wart. However, I did not know that the interviews were so few and far between.

We are planning on living our lives to the full as we have done so far...just on the mainland *in case* we get called. (Always have been, always will be a 'just in case' gal!) We did VA Beach so far this year, Rehoboth Beach and North Carolina are next on our list.

Thanks all for your advice and reassurance. Again.

Sheila and I have been to Rehoboth Beach many times! It is quite nice... but best to wait until it's a bit warmer. If it's raining, go to the casino at Dover Downs! I must say, one of the things I most like about Delaware is that it's totally non-smoking in all public buildings.

I want the beach, hubby wants to find good seafood and we both want to visit the Dogfish brewpub! Will bear the casino in mind, I'm fond of a flutter now and again!

just filed hubbys via certified mail. it was delivered on May 5 according to the USPS. Just wondering about biometrics appt: Do you get any choice of time or dates for biometrics appt or do they just send one and expect you to show up?
