Hi y'all -
Just back in the UK from checking out the Charlotte/Raleigh area prior to moving over in the summer, and just wanted to say what a beautiful place it is. Spent a couple of days in the Smoky Mountains....checked out the housing in Charlotte and found a couple of schools that are good possibilities. Seems all too good to be true to be honest!
Anyone live in the Charlotte area? Is it as nice as it appears?

I live in Durham, part of the Triangle in the center of the state. I enjoy living in NC.
I have been to Charlotte several times, mostly for immigration purposes but also for a vacation. I prefer the Triangle to Charlotte because it appears to be more diverse in every sense. Plus, there's a direct flight to the UK from RDU and I'm equidistant from both the mountains and the beach.
There's quite a few members in Charlotte and the west of the state. Have you looked at the Frappr map?

HI, I live in South Charlotte just on the state line of South Carolina. We moved here in Dec 07 and seem to be settling well. No regrets so far.
